We hired Val and his team to lay down fresh sod in our backyard equipped with a sprinkler system, and to put down tiles for a hot tub. He also coordinated all the electrical for the hot tub. He did an all service package and coordinated between subcontractors.He finished the job ahead of schedule and was always easy to get ahold of.When the hot tub arrived, we realized we hadn’t laid the electrical in exactly the right way to connect it, but Val gave me confidence that we could pivot to a different method and he prepared it without any doubt.I was very happy with JHC and highly recommend them for anyone doing landscaping - especially if you’re doing a complicated job requiring landscaping, electrical, etc and you would rather deal with one contact instead of coordinating between different subcontractors.
Our lawn was the victim of moles, essentially eating 60% of our back yard and 35% of the front. We go to great lengths to ensure our lawn is in perfect condition, so you can imagine our horror when the snow melted, and exposed all the bare spots. Call to Val, he showed up the next day, a few quick measurements and we were ready to go. Team showed up on time, did a fantastic job of removing the old, torn up sod and placed the new sod. This included trimming around the extensive plants, shrubs and gardens we have in our yard. Work was completed in a day, amazing job, and they blended the new grass seamlessly with the old. The entire backyard was redone, and approx 40% of the front, but you could barely tell where the joins were. Great crew, friendly, fast, efficient. Very highly recommended, great communication throughout, including calls from the office staff. thanks Val, Mor and team !

Had a big bare gap at the back of our yard. Called JHC a few months ago and Val came by and made some recommendations which we went with. Now that the weather has started warming up, they've planted the trees this week and we couldn't be happier. Very quick and thorough job and all evidence of a mess cleaned up. They quickly removed a wood deck and built a patio, removed large hedges and shrubs, planted some large trees and other plants and graded and laid new sod...all while the weather wasn't cooperating. Would recommend to friends and family.
Highly recommend JHC Landscaping - they did a great job sodding our downtown backyard which is tricky since it's only accessible through a small laneway. From starting the quote to completing the installation of the sod, Val and the team were great. Very responsive, friendly and reasonably priced.
JHC did a great job in sodding our fairly large backyard. I was quoted a very fair price and they called me with a couple days notice to book installation. Val and his crew showed up in the morning and they just dug in and got the very heavy bad weeds and terrible soil out and then levelled, packed and laid the sod. They told me how they would do it in advance and followed what they said they would do. Can't believe that they did the whole job in about 5 hours. Val gave me watering advice and also gave me advice on keeping raccoons away from new sod. Very helpful and friendly service. Highly recommended in my opinion.

I recently had Val and JHC Landscaping resod my front lawn, clean up my backyard, prune back many small bushes, shrubs, some larger trees, prepare and plant new plants. Val was very attentive and flexible when coming out to give me a free estimate. He worked within my busy schedule to come and walk through my property, giving advice on how to best take care of the multiple jobs I was asking for. His pricing was competitive and reasonable. He communicated throughout the process, answered my questions and gave honest opinions. He and his crew started and finished the work quickly, cleaned up after themselves. They went the extra mile by coming back after the job was done to take care of a few details that I had questions about. No questions asked... Would definitely recommend JHC and will use them again-probably for snow removal services!
